CHARLOTTE POUND
Experience: 10 years +Background: Charlotte graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2015 with a First Class Hons degree in Physiotherapy. Since graduating, she has had a wide range of post graduate experience in both NHS and private practice and is the Neuro Major Trauma Team Lead at a Major Trauma Specialist teaching hospital in London.
Specialities:Neurological conditions including: Traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injuries, Polytrauma, MS, Parkinsons and Stroke. She also has completed APPI matwork Pilates L3 qualifications and enjoys utilising her Pilates knowledge and skills with her neurological and non neurological patients to build and enhance strength, balance and coordination.
Specialist skills: Charlotte has had a wide range of experience in Neurology, Neurosurgery and Neurorehabilitation and therefore able to provide a combined approach of hands on skills, personalised exercise prescription, Pilates, and use of specialist interventions such as FES, splinting, spasticity management, orthotics advice and hydrotherapy. Working amongst Trauma, Charlotte is also familiar with Orthopaedic injuries and management alongside working with older patients who need to regain strength and balance.
